Lloyd Hoffspiegel

In his 30+ years of legal practice experience, Lloyd Hoffspiegel has litigated many serious and catastrophic bodily injury claims. His core practice areas include automobile and tractor-trailer accidents, wrongful death, premises liability, amusement ride injuries, medical malpractice and workers’ compensation. He has tried approximately 100 personal injury cases and negotiated settlements in many more, including 7-figure awards in several car and truck accident cases.

Lloyd also represents victims of sexual abuse. His role as past President of the Society of Advancement of Sexual Health (SASH) offers him unique insight into the issues a victim of sexual abuse faces when confronting an abuser. Sexual abuse cases are challenging, and many personal injury attorneys are unwilling to take them on. However, Lloyd is committed to pursuing justice for victims of sexual abuse, and has been able to obtain large verdicts or settlements for many. Lloyd is currently a Board Member of Civil Lawyers Against World Sex Slavery (CLAWS), an organization dedicated to targeting those individuals or organizations that traffic children for the purposes of sexual servitude.

A graduate of Emory Law School (1982), Lloyd is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, a Champion member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association (GTLA) and sits on the board of GTLA’s Civil Justice PAC. He is also a member of The American Association for Justice (AAJ).

Lloyd has garnered recognition in the legal profession throughout his career, as evidenced by his eight consecutive years (2007-2016) as a “Georgia Super Lawyer” and ten years (1999-2009) as a National Board of Trial Advocacy certified civil trial advocate. However, he most values his “AV” rating from Martindale-Hubbell, as that designation means that his colleagues at bar view him as a highly ethical attorney with exception legal abilities. He shares his skills and experience with both new and veteran attorneys as an instructor at the Keenan Ball College of Trial Advocacy.

Lloyd met his wife, a civil litigator, in law school. They live in Atlanta with their two dogs and two cats. Their son, Alex, is a partner in the firm. Outside the office, he’s a loyal fan of the Braves and the Falcons and enjoys hunting and fishing with Alex and landscaping with his wife.
